On May 30th, Baumhaus launched the first of our workshop series for our “aunties,” in collaboration with Lakshmi & Pranisha, two students from the
Kids4Kids Action for a Cause project that I’m working with.

Noemi and Cristina, who are themselves migrant worker leaders and founders of Guhit Kulay, taught us the basics of sketching. You can see how much fun we had from the photos below.

Last week, we had amazing Filipina singer-DJ-teacher Ela Alegre run a singing workshop for our caregivers.

This coming Sunday, it will be MY turn to lead a Drama workshop! I still have a couple of spaces… and it’s free! Venue will be Room 401 in the Bayanihan Centre, 55 Victoria Road, Kennedy Town.

[Incidentally, last May 30th was also Helper Appreciation Day! Get to know the initiatives by our friends from various organisations: https://www.empoweru.io/helperheroes ]
